What is Prayer?

Prayer is a Conversation with God.

Prayer is Communing with God.

Prayer is Changing our world.

Prayer is the foundation for all our activity at LCF

Prayer is the greatest privilege this side of heaven.
— Billy Graham

Why Pray?

Prayer is the Christian’s hotline to heaven.

Prayer is experiencing God’s presence, peace, perspective and power.

Prayer is the means by which we move the hand of God.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God
— Philippians 4:6

How to pray

Prayer is a relationship with God – keep it real!

Prayer is for every personality, age and occasion, just be yourself - keep it simple!

Prayer is simply talking to God every day, all day - keep it going!

Go Deeper

The prayer of Examen

Remember - God as you walk through your day.

Reflect - on what God is saying to you.

Respond - to anything God points out.

Reset - thank God for his presence and let go of anything He highlights.

You will find joy in prayer as you encounter God

• It’s a relationship, not a ritual.

• It’s a two-way thing, learn to listen to God.

'Regular fasting helps you go deeper faster' - James Aladarin

•If you want to pray with power and authority – be intentional.

The call to prayer is a call to participate in the love that has forever burned in God’s heart.
